Updating Nvidia graphics drivers [SLS]

Hi, 

 

I have a Surface Laptop Studio and multiple games are complaining about outdated graphics drivers. I have the latest drivers from Windows Update but there are some much newer drivers available from Nvidia itself. Is it safe to update to the generic Nvidia drivers, or is it advised to stay on the Microsoft provided ones? 

 

In case of the latter, is there any word on whether Microsoft is going to update the drivers they provide?

    Hi hugobloem 

    In my experience it shouldn't be a problem updating to generic drivers from Nvidia. If the generic driver doesn't support the GPU it won't install on it and keeps running with the previous version. 

    In case you experience any issues, a driver rollback is always possible.
