Surface Laptop 4 shut down and was warm to touch

Spent an hour or so yesterday on phone with a Microsoft service tech. They had me enter a long string of inputs for system to check and then computer found a problem, but said it was repairable. So then they read off another string of inputs to enter and tell system to fix the problem. response was that problem was fixed and ok. 24 hours now without reoccurrence.
- This didn't fix the problem. 49 hours later it did it again. Just went to sleep while idle and would only restart with the 30 second push of the power key. My wife has a new cheap Gateway laptop that never does this. And my MS one does it at will.
