Surface Laptop 2 0 WIndows 11 Insider Program update causes display malfunction

Ive recently received the insider preview edition of windows 11 on my SL2.  Immediately after installation the display on my laptop began to flicker badly and eventually dimmed to the point of images becoming unreadable.  Thankfully I was able to restore previous windows 10 installations which meant the display issues disappeared.  Ive tried to install the Windows 11 updates on 2 occassions and both times experienced these issues (despite win 11 being approved by Microsoft for use on SL2).

Has anyone experienced similar faults?  Im concerned that these faults have also permanently damaged the touchscreen because it no longer responds and I can only use the touchpad.
