Unable to boot Windows on laptop.
Hi,
we are facing a problem on the laptop used to repair a Surface Hub v2 Image HD(WIndows Team).
We followed these steps https://docs.microsoft.com/it-it/surface-hub/surface-hub-recovery-tool.
After following the steps and created the brand new image, we booted the new HD on a laptop to check the integrity of the installation; During normal installation process a fatal error occured ("We are sorry, something went wrong"). Mounting the original HD to the laptop it no longer start windows OS.
What we tried without success:
- Reinstalling Windows OS via DVD, Usb Boot (does not even start installation process)
- Reinstalling Bios
- Disable Secure Boot
- Restore Secure Boot Key to the factory
- Removing the Cmos battery
- Changing HD
What we can do:
- Installing windows Vista
- installing Linux Ubuntu
We don't know what else we can try to restore the laptop.
Laptop Info:
- Brand ASUS
- Model P3540F
Thank you in advance.

Run diskpart on that drive and do the clean command, then reinitialize and format that drive.
