Surface UEFI Configurator not formatting USB or adding DFI files

ADoran I had opened a support case regarding the issues I was experiencing, it was suggested I use a non-domain joined PC which was not mentioned in the documentation or steps provided in the link I included. 

 

Brought in a personal laptop non-domain joined and had no problems at all creating the SEMM package on USB stick.  Little frustrating that this detail was omitted from the documentation and steps provided. 

 

Hope this helps anyone else running into the same problems.

    Hi ADoran,

    I realise this is long dead but I'm trying to perform essentially the same thing, SEMM via the UEFI, i get the error SERIALXXX_ surfacexxx.dfi not found after creating the usb and trying to install it. I've tried domain joined and not on both windows 10 and 11. Any ideas?
