Surface Hub Update History missing recent builds
- Mar 28, 2018
Hi Daniel,
we are not following the same cadence as Windows 10 updates, so we shouldn't expect everything to match. The last update to Hub was on Feb, and since then we haven't released other stuff for Hub. After your request, we are evaluating adding "March release: no updates" to ensure that you guys know for sure we aren't releasing anything.
Hi Nydia
I'm still seeing the attached; last update on 23 February 2018 as per my original post.
Are you seeing anything different internally?

Thanks for confirming Nydia, that makes sense.
I think given we're still receiving the standard CU's in line with Windows 10, it might be useful to acknowledge the builds on the update page as they're released but confirm there's nothing specifically for Surface Hub.
Interestingly, this has actually happened once before. Take a look at the 4 November 2016 update for Windows 10 1511:
This update to the Windows 10 Team edition (version 1511) to Surface Hub includes quality improvements and security fixes that are outlined in Windows 10 Update History. There are no Surface Hub specific items in this update.

Hi Daniel,
Even when we don't add Surface Hub or Windows Team Edition specific updates, standard Windows updates help us fix issues and features that may not be Hub related, but are required for the smooth and secure operation of the OS.
For example, the update you mentioned (1511, OS Build 10586.679) does not have Hub specific improvements or added features, but it does address several Windows 10 quality improvements and security updates (refer to this KB to find out more).
Also, keep in mind that this specific update was introduced after we already launched the Anniversary Update in October 2016 and was the last one for the 1511 release for the Hub (standard Windows 10 OS can still run this version last updated March 13, 2018).
Follow Nydia Cavazos' guidance for Hub updates, that is the right approach.
