Surface Hub 2s and sleep mode

Hi,

I would like to know if it's a normal behaviour that we have to press the power button to wake up a  Surface Hub 2s when it's in sleep mode (not connected standby mode) ? Isn't it supposed to wake-up automatically when someone enter the room? Also, are the updates installed at the maintenance hours we have defined when the Surface Hub is in sleep mode?

Also, I see there's a connected standby mode we can configure in the local settings of the Surface Hub. How can I set this setting from intune? I can't find this setting in the Device restrictions (Windows 10 Team) profile and I don't know if a OMA-URI exists for this settings?

Thank you,

Cyrille

  • Cyrille_D I found the CSP needed for this setting:

    Properties/SleepMode

Added in Windows 10, version 20H2. Specifies the type of sleep mode for the Surface Hub.

    Valid values:

    • 0 - Connected Standby (default)
    • 1 - Hibernate

The data type is integer. Supported operation is Get and Replace.

Found under: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/client-management/mdm/surfacehub-csp (i didnt find it, because the date for this site still refers to the S1 from 2017)

Cyrille_D Hi, have you found a way to set this up via Intune? Because i also need to change this setting on multiple Surface Hubs and i really dont wanna go to all the locations just to change this setting. For me, Microsoft is doing a horrible job with the new OS - so many bugs and the worst - calling this a modern device but not giving the opportunity to change ALL settings via Intune.
