SfB crashes when desktop sharing starts on the other end

Hi all,

I am running version 16.3.121 and my SfB account is hosted at O365. We do have a hybrid SfB setup, which means we also have an OnPremise SfB infrastrucutre with PSTN.

Anytime I am in a SfB call (either 1 on 1 or with multiple participants) with my OnPremise Windows colleagues and one of my colleagues starts "screen sharing" my SfB client just crashes. I need to re-join again into the meeting and then it works.

If the screen sharing is already running when I am joining a call, I do not have any issues. Only if the first screen sharing starts, my client crashes.

BTW: Why is most of the time the shared screen - when Windows user is sharing - so fuzzy/blurred. Sometimes I am not able to read anything....

Thanks and regards,

Sascha

Hi Sascha.  There was an issue where the Windows SFB client recently modified desktop sharing.  The fuzzy shared desktop may be video based screen sharing.  Was there any video/camera turned on?  Was the video quality okay?

There is a new build of SFB Mac Insider build 16.3.200 which there is a bug fix in video based screen sharing.  Please upgrade to this new build to see if it improves the quality.  Thanks.

This also occurs for me when a windows user shares during a phone call. Also 16.3.121, but we are an on premises set up
