Resources email reply wrong

Hi, I am new here for the first time, cannot check any post regarding this issue.

 

My colleague report to me that she sent an email to a resource email, booking a room, but got no reply.  Some time after, another staff, he, received the email confirming that the room is reserved for him.  Such approval operation goes smooth before.  I guess this might be an issue that using a wrong user ID by Exchage server (We use OWA).  However, not knowing how to report to Microsoft or fix this.

 

I use Mail trace in the Exchanage Admin Centre, the original email and reply email was sent properly, but somehow the email address was changed from she to his.

 

  1. Does any folk here encounter this issue before?
  2. How to use other tool to dig further?
  3. Any remedy or reporting can be done?

    Hello MLKwan!

    Looks like the email address may have been misdirected or changed during the process, possibly due to a configuration issue in Exchange or OWA. Since the email trace shows the message was sent correctly, it might be worth checking the rules or forwarding settings in OWA to ensure nothing is redirecting emails incorrectly. To dig deeper, you could check for any issues with mailbox permissions or auto-forwarding that might be causing the problem.
