Thank you yes I was using the incorrect learn account, so merged the old and new work accounts.
Turns out that my old work email is setup as a personal account so I cannot merge it to my real personal account.
And the instructions I found to transfer from one personal account to another personal account fail at the first step.

Do you have any hints at how I would achieve this?
or should I start another post?

You can add multiple accounts to your learn profile but only one personal account
Create a question on the Certification Support forum using the link I provided. I'm not sure what you can do and it probably needs support to merge the accounts.
