MD-102 exam
I recently studied using the MD-102 Endpoint Administrator Learn pages and the Practice Assessment and felt reasonably prepared going into the exam. However, I did not pass, primarily because the actual exam questions were very different in structure and complexity from the Practice Assessment.
Issue:
The Learn Practice Assessment focuses mostly on straightforward, single-concept multiple choice questions, while the actual exam includes multi-step, scenario-based questions requiring evaluation of multiple valid solutions.
Impact:
This creates a false sense of readiness. Candidates who rely on the official Learn Practice Assessment may feel prepared but encounter a significantly different experience on the real exam.
Additional concern:
I also attempted to submit feedback through the official Microsoft Credentials support links, but they either redirected to Azure support or returned a 404 page, making it difficult to report this through the proper channel.
Suggestion:
- Clearly indicate that Practice Assessments are not representative of the real exam format, OR
- Introduce scenario-based questions that better reflect the actual exam experience
- Provide a full mock exam option aligned with exam structure
I’m sharing this here because I was unable to submit this through the official support channels.
P.S. - I did use Copilot to make this more clear and better written but it is exactly my experience.
