What's up with the SharePoint search function?

I'm searching in SharePoint in our Photography location for a folder.

I copy the folder title and paste it into search.

Clicking the search button returns no results.

However, waiting for the auto-results to come up shows the folder.

This happens all the time.

What's the deal?

And yes, I'm searching in the directory that houses this folder.
