Welcome email sent to owner assigning permissions in SharePoint 2016

I have an On-Prem installation of SharePoint 2016.  We just noticed that granting permissions sends the welcome email to the person granting the permissions.  Is there a way to disable this feature?

    Bpipkin2001 When granting permission make sure click on the "SHOW OPTIONS" option and un-check the send email invitation

      Thank you Vikram_Samal. We were hoping to use that feature to let users know when they were able to access the site, but when adding multiple users all the emails coming back to the owner is cumbersome. We were hoping there was a way to disable the cc email to the owner, while allowing the email to the users
