submit form to email with a custom site

I created a custom site and added a form on it. I'm trying to get the submit button to work and have it send to my email. I created a php file that should work and added the action attribute referencing the php file in the html file. I uploaded it and when I click the submit button, it just downloads the php file. the way my pages are set up, they have to be .aspx not html. I'm not sure if that's why it's not working. Can anyone please help?

    titoaraujo you would be better to use a Microsoft Forms form then a flow in Power Automate to grab the response and send it to your email. Simple example is shown below:
