SPS Newbie: Upgraded SPS 2016 farm to latest Feature Pack and old minrole is no longer supported

I had built a small SPS farm according to SPS 2016 release docs an chose a 3 server model based upon MinRoles ( 2 node model) .

1. FE with Dist Cache
2. App Server
3. Dedicated SQL server

After upgrading to the latest Feature Pack it appears the 2 Node MinRole model has been deprecated.  Currently SPS is not working as it does not see a farm.   I need some guidance on how to manually distribute SPS services across 2 SPS server which prior was FE & App Server.

Any assistance is appreciated.
