SharePoint Migration Tool
Hi All,
Looking for some feedback from the community. Was wondering if it is possible to migrate the Created By and Modified Date for documents while file migration from a file server to SharePoint Online. In the past whenever I have migrated the documents, it by defaults takes Admin as the Created By/Modified By meta data and also overrides the modified date to the date the files is being migrated rather than the modified date a user might have last updated the document.

Ajay Mandal if you have Azure AD Connect deployed in your environment and all users are synced to Azure AD , then the tool will automatically map the on-prmise user SID to the AAD Upn. if thei is not the case then you can create a mapping of the users SID to UPN and then migrate. for the Created Date and Last Modified Date. They too are migrated. it takes the NTFS file attribute and updates it to SharePoint Online
