Sharepoint List Sync Issues

We are facing the same issues as of a few months ago. I'm trying to update 1,000+ records and i have had to do this over and over and over. I do not understand what is syncing and why this is all of a sudden happening. We have been in SPO since 2020, never experienced this issue until now.
- We are facing issues as of this week. When colleagues switch to classic mode they see all items, but not in the modern mode.
