Open the Registry editor
Navigate to this path “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager“
Rename the “PendingFileRenameOperations” value to “OldPendingFileRenameOperations“
Reboot the server

Hello Scott,

The regedit worked. Thank you very much. I am now on the database settings and what are the requirements for this and or an example of a database server name?

    I have successfully installed SharePoint on a Windows Server 2016 VM. I have successfully setup SharePoint and I am in the final stages of the setup process. Do you have any tips that you can provide me for SharePoint?
