Sharepoint fails to show all videos in a folder in thumbnail mode - plz help!

Hi.

I have problem with Sharepoint. I've uploaded videos and SP is only showing some of the files, not all. If I hide thumbnail column all videos are available but if I turn thumbnails on, only some are available.

 

File type is MP4 and this happening to some of the videos, not all (folders). And we really want to keep thumbnails > this helps and speeds up finding the right files a lot.

Any help in this is highly appreciated.

    Hi RPX2014,

    There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Check the file size and file format. SharePoint has limits on the file size and file formats that can be displayed as thumbnails. Make sure that your videos are within the limits and that they are in a supported file format.
    2. Refresh the SharePoint library. Sometimes, a simple refresh can fix minor issues.
    3. Clear your browser's cache and cookies. Outdated or corrupted cache and cookies can cause problems with SharePoint.
    4. Try a different browser. If you're still having problems, try using a different browser to see if that resolves the issue.
    5. Contact Microsoft support. If you've tried all of the above and you're still having problems, you may need to contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

    Additional tips:

    • Make sure that the video files are not corrupted. You can try playing the videos in a media player to make sure that they work properly.
    • Try uploading the video files again. Sometimes, uploading a file again can fix minor issues.
    • Try uploading the video files to a different SharePoint library. If the videos display correctly in a different library, then the problem may be with the original library.
    • Try uploading the video files to a different SharePoint site. If the videos display correctly on a different site, then the problem may be with the original site.
