SharePoint Deployment.
Hello Everyone,
I'm getting ready to deploy a second SP Server with MiniRole Application and Search. Front-End and Distributive Cache is setup and running.
My question is, before doing the prerequisite on the second server, do I need to install SQL?
or
Will the prerequisite installer tool detect the SQL server and continue to install the other prerequisites?
Adding an additional SharePoint server to a farm does not require installation of another SQL server. You will need to run the pre-requisite installer on the new server, when you run SP setup, you will be asked if you are creating a new farm or joining an existing farm.
