Quick links image is not displayed with Auto-select option selected
Images are not being automatically selected with Auto-select option in Compact or Tiles view of Quick Links web part.
odessitka Hey, I get what you're saying - it sounds like 'Auto-selected' should choose an image from the article as the icon. Unfortunately, that only works for Filmstrip and Grid.
The 'Auto-selected' option for the other views, chooses an icon that best represents the link (e.g. an external website, a SharePoint page, PDF, DOCX etc) and displays that icon.
You can upload a custom image or choose a different icon but it won't pull an image from the link for it.
Do you know why behavior is so different for different layouts of the same web part? It's so counterintuitive. I imagine behavior should be the same, just different item size.
