Moving the Sharepoint Sql database log (.ldf) files to another drive on the same server
Is it safe to move the Sharepoint Sql database log (.ldf) files to another drive on the same server without moving the .mdf files.

See the steps outline on Move User Databases the site. Stop all of the SharePoint services and perform full system and user backups prior to the move.
