Have you tried OneDrive App?
Yes, we have tried OneDrive App and it gives offline capabilities but it has limited options as compared to a SharePoint site as we have multiple lists that are used for accessing/updating offline.
- Totally agree and to be clear: SharePoint App does not provided the offline functionality you are looking for
