Microsoft Lists - locale problem

Hi and a Happy New Year,

                          I am using microsoft Lists.  I would like the date to display in dd-mm-yyyy format, but it is displaying as mm-dd-yyyy.

From reading emails etc, I understand that Lists gets its locale form oneDrive. I logged into my onedrive account to change locale settings but did not see anything there.

I then logged into my microsoft 365 account to check the region format. My language is set to UK and regional format is UK so I was hoping to get a date in lists with dd-mm-yyyy.

Would you please advise as to how I get the desired format for dates, my desired date is dd-mm-yyyy.
