Location Column in sharepoint list not defaulting to town/suburb

Hi All,

I have a sharepoint list that contains a location column.

Up until recently, a user would be able to just type in the suburb/town and select same as the geolocation.

However now, when you type in the town/suburb, it matches to businesses or local attractions in the area and does not display just the town/suburb as an option.

I want to be able to select just the town/suburb not using a whole address.

I have found a work around being that if you type the  TOWN, STATE, AREA CODE then it will bring up just the town. See screen shots

The 'Use This Location' is not a geolocation option,

Not sure if this was a recent update by MS or something with Bing Maps.

Appreciate any help.

GordPro I have the exact same problem! I sure hope this is not the new way the location column will behave. May I suggest you also submit this post here? https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/ab3ad59e-6dd1-ec11-a7b5-0022481f35a4?page=1&sort=most-votes

I will try your workaround in the meantime.
