Items permission not working on users with Full Control

Hi,

I have a list in Share Point and the item permission for the list is set to show/edit only items created by the user. This works fine for the Team group where the permissions of the lists are set as Contribute. However the Owner group which has Full Control permission is able to see and edit all the items in the list.

Is there a way to prevent a user with Full Control permission from seeing and editing records created by other users?

I tried changing the lists permissions to Edit but still wouldn't work and do need this user to be able to manage the settings of the list so I don't want to use the Contribute permission for the Owner group.
