Gmail less secure apps being locked down

On May 30, 2022 Google is locking down "less secure apps". See Google's announcement here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en I'm using Outlook 2019, ad use Gmail via Outlook...

Hi mikec7 I am experiencing exactly the same issue you did and wondered if the solution you referred to is still fully working? Thanks in advance.

    Can you explain to everyone why you are sharing an email address for a contact outside of the MTC Forum?

    You did it again, unfortunately I have to warn other users! If you are an IT specialist

    it's definitely weird!

    Please do not send to this user Nothing - which is bound by a password or anything!

      because 'they' are a SCAMMER trying to PHISH poor schmucks.

      I TRIED to warn everyone - with a clear post

      but it has been DELETED (no trace I can see anywhere!) - by 'admin'?
      HOWEVER, 'ADMIN' must have seen IT, AND my 2 'reports' about the scamming - because they REMOVED THE EMAIL ADDRESS on the previous scam post - (stewart_goodin)

      but NOW the real 'stewartgoodin' account seems to be hacked TOO 
      which is why you are asking why THEY included an email address

      to repeat what I said in previous warning post for the community - POOR STEWART GOODIN

      Microsoft are both responsible AND irresponsible.

        Yes, the actor inspires trust with a helpful answer others confirm it and gives an email address, and the inexperienced user is perfidiously attacked!

    Unfortunately the 'fix' has not worked for me. I followed the instruction in this thread: "I logged into my GMAIL account, and changed my password from 12 to 16 characters. Restarted Outlook (2021 in my case) and when prompted, entered my new 16 character GMAIL password".

    It has made no difference and I am still unable to access ANY of my Gmail accounts via Outlook. My Gmail accounts work perfectly via the Google site and on my iPhone so it is NOT an incorrect password/ username issue. Be very interested in your thoughts in case I've missed anything.
