Import sql server to Sharepoint as a list or linking from lists to sql server tables
I am new to SharePoint.
The one of questions that I have is when I have a SQL database, for using tables of SQL server in SharePoint I should to import them in SharePoint as a list, or is not necessary and i can link lists of SharePoint to my SQL server tables.
If possible which method is better?
Masoud1313 We can integrate SQL data with SharePoint. Here solution depends upon the requirement. If database is containing large amount of data in tables or any other application is connected with this database then in this case it is best to use SharePoint BCS service. For small amount of data we can export in csv then try to import in SharePoint list.

- BCS Services is the option here for SharePoint Server
