implement Document ID service and best practices
Can anyone tell me with confidence if I can enable the document ID service in an existing SP 2010 environment and not have any adverse impact? It won't change all the "modified dates" of documents or...
I set up a test environment and confirmed there were no adverse side affects. I now have document ID's enabled in our production environment and using the Metadata in word documents. In case anyone else is interested in enabling Document ID's, I followed these instructions:
