How to apply DevPNP models to a lot of site collections quicker?
We have an environment with about 30 site collections, each 200GB each, with about 200k documents each. The content types have been deployed previously with custom Powershell.
Now looking at implementing DevPNP. We have about 80 content types, 100 fields, and 10 lists. Our initial test run on a site collection with 80k documents took about 45 minutes to deploy. If we would run this sequentially, a production deployment would take approx 20 hours. And we only have a 2 hour release window. While I'm aware that provisioning doesn't involve an outage, other parts of our solution depend on metadata changes (like the search page).
How can we deploy this quicker? We are thinking about implementing a migration styled framework. So instead of deploying the entire model, we only deploy the changes using DevPNP.
Any other suggestions please?
