How do I change the version number start from?

Hi,

I have a "ver. 1.05" numbered file and uploaded it to a sharepoint folder.

Then of course it tagged the Version as "1.0", but I prefer to make it as "1.5" or "1.05" to start from, about this file.

Do you have any solution to modify each file's version number start from?

Thank you,

  • y-yamanaka As far as I am aware that's not possible. SharePoint maintains its own record of major & minor version numbers and you can't change the number it starts at. You could add a number column to manually input your own "version number".

      Thank you Rob!
I have no choice but to do that. I'll do it manually.
