External list custom view changes doesn't show on external list web part

I created a external list but there's some things I customized in xslt for the external list view. When I edit or add changes, my external list changes. However, when I add the list as a web part on my SharePoint homepage, those changes does not show at all. I have turned on server render in the Miscellaneous tab. I have also made sure the view is on the specific view I customized. Anybody know what's going on?
