Connection broken between report viewer and filter web part when project site is saved as template

We have 2019 on-premise classic project site. The SharePoint project site page has a report viewer web part (SSRS report) and a query string web part as a filter that provides projectUId. When we create a new project site from Save as template option, the connection is broken between report viewer web part and filter web part on a new project site. The report does not populate and needs editing the page to set the connection between the web part.

Has anyone come across such situation and any ideas to fix this problem?

The report viewer web part is used in each project SharePoint site and the report content is specific to the project. Is there a way to extract the project site URL into the report viewer web part without using the filter?
