Cannot enforce change password at next logon at SharePoint for AD Users.

Hi,

Have been using SharePoint 2016 integrated with AD from MS 2016.  When we enforce change password at next log on settings at AD, when user logged on to SharePoint the users cannot change the password. when i change the password to user at AD and try logging with new password it works.

Please advise how to resolve this.
