Can the email address of a Person data type in a Microsoft List be used to email notifications?
Can the email address of a Person data type in a Microsoft List be used to email notifications? I will explain further. When you add a column in Microsoft List, you are given a list of data types to choose from for the nature of the data in the column. One of those data types is for a single line of text, which is what an email address would be, and another is a Person, which contains, among many things, an email address.
If you hover over a cell in the List where a Person data has been entered, you get a pop up of information which includes the Person's email address.
So, if I use the Person data type, in columns where I would otherwise use an email address, can I use this in the List to email a notification when the status of a record changes?
