Added choices in Sharepoint Lists disappear when a different choice value is used in a view
I have set up a Lists that uses alot of Choice rows to utilize its search bar for manually added or past inputted responses. One of the choices set a line as "Open", "In progress", or "Closed". The closed status is attached to a viewing that hides the closed ones. However for some odd reason this hides the past added values from being searched up in all the other choice lines.
Why does this happen? It is ruining one of the features that we are using, the ability to search up and click on past values added to that row.
mariusromma Did you or someone in your company add any filtering conditions in the list view based on the choice column?
If yes, you have to remove those conditions to check the related list items. follow this documentation: Use filtering to modify a SharePoint view

- mariusrommaCopper ContributorWe are using a filter in the default list view to hide away any "Closed" lines.
Is there any way to make Lists read off and still show the added values as a recommended option when adding a new line? If not, is there any different way i can go about preferably hiding the Closed lines in a way that is toggleable. We utilize the view filtering to have a production view and a archive view as to not make it all cluttered once many lines come in.mariusromma Are you adding new list items using SharePoint default list forms or using edit in grid view (quick edit) option?
If using grid view, you cannot show the filtered list items while adding new entries.
If you are using list forms, you should see the all available options under choice column like:
