Access rights to viewing a video in a Sharepoint Site
- Apr 20, 2023
Hello Ronald_Santos
ok, now it's more cleare. When it's a iframe, then the user need access to the stream video, i know, it's a little bit complicated to understand, so it's easier to use the new Stream (on SharePoint). It's the new way to manage videos in your company and the old service are retired.
More informations around Stream (on SharePoint) and about the migration from the old classic Stream: https://learn.microsoft.com/de-de/stream/streamnew/features-new-version-stream
When you save your video in a SharePoint library, you can use the "File and Media" web part to show your video.
Hope this helps.
Best, Dave
If I do as you recommend, can I use an iframe to display the video which will now be contained in the Sharepoint Library? Many thanks again.

DaveMehr365 Dear David, sorry. I have to reopen this issue. People are still having problems accessing the video. This even when I put the video in the Sharepoint site and used the web part that you recommended. As you can see, from image all access rights seem to be in order. Thanks so much

Hello Ronald_Santos
are the video stored on the same site? Have the users access direct to the video in the library? Or what kind of troubles they have?
Best, Dave
