Deactivating SDS created class teams
Is there a way to do this as there was in Classroom
We have situations where teachers may not wish to use a created class and therefore do not want this to be available to students to use "unattended".

Thanks for the question. We did have requests to avoid creating groups (Teams) before a certain date to avoid students from getting early intel on which classes they might be in, and enabled a feature in SDS to not sync the student enrollment until after a date you specify. While that may help in some cases, it sounds like you are looking for a way to hide or deactivate a class after it has already been created. I do not know the answer but I am looking into it.
