where Project online data is stored?

Hi

Can someone shed some light where Project online data is stored? Are customers responsible for backing up the data with third party vendor?

From a search this is what I found "Project Online data is stored to the SharePoint Content Database in Office 365. " Is the data stored in same databases as SharePoint Online? Lets say I backup SharePoint online, will project online data be backed up?
