What MS Project Online Retiring Means
Thank you for your video, it was really helpful since the MS announcement was vague to say the least. However, the problem remains; those of us how are professional project managers pretty much all agree that Planner is a toy an nowhere near as capable as MS Project. We are being left with no real path to continue using Microsoft products. Is this really what they want?
As you rightly say, self-hosting is an option but, logically, it follows that MS are removing support for a major product and forcing us to move elsewhere. Personally, I fail to understand the trend that simply making a few tasks link together is somehow project management. It isn't!
We really need a coherent solution going forward and, in my humble opinion, Planner is not fit for purpose.
