Using cost rate tab
I am on a trial Project Plan 3 and I have the following question.
In project professional, I created a resource as shown here
1. How do I make B the default cost rate?
2. For a task on the Gantt chart, why am I not able to edit the cost rate table (I tried in project professional and pwa)? I have administrator privileges.

You won't see the cost rate table on the Gantt Chart view because the cost rate applies to assignments. Try the Task Usage or Resource Usage views. There you can set the desired cost rate table applicable to each assignment as shown in this screen shot of the Task Usage view.
