Timesheet in Project online

Hi,

With my role as a PM - enjoying every bit of it and learning as I go through. My company doesn't have a set way to determine resource capacity, and so I enabled timesheet in project online - I will cut to the chase, so when I told my management that resources can now fill in their timesheets etc, so I was told that they don't want the admin work left to the technical resources ? so if not the resource who else will fill in their timesheet? and how does it happen in organizations where it's already implemented?

what I do is when I assign tasks I do make sure that the resources mark them as complete and they put in their hours etc. so that's taken care off.

Any suggestions on best practices would be appreciated. I'm the administrator of project online.

Thank you

If you do not have management's support of using the Timesheet in PWA, then you are dead in the water with this solution. Given your management's comments, I would recommend that your project managers gather task status from the team members (such as in a project status meeting) and then manually enter the task progress in the Microsoft Project schedule. Hope this helps.
