Task progress reporting by resources

Hello All,

As per Microsoft document P1 license holders can update the plan in Project for the Web and O365 license holders can update the progress on their projects.

Here I have two concerns-

 1. There is an option to update either the %complete or actual work on a task. This is how the overall progress of the task gets affected. Is there a way where a resource can report their task hours on daily basis. I didn't find a timesheet option in Project for the Web.

2. As the task progress can be updated by any team member with P1 license and no timesheet is there. Now suppose on one project there is team member with P1 license (which is not the project manager). When he logs into the system he is able to update the progress on all the task whether that is assigned to him or not. Is there a way that we can restrict this?

Any help would ,be highly appreciated.

Regards

    1. No, there is currently no timesheet option in Project for the Web that would allow a team member to enter actual work on a daily basis.

    2. No, when a user has Project Plan 1 license and is added to the project team, that user is allowed to edit the entire project. There is no permissions model in Project for the Web that would allow you to restrict this permission.

    Hope this helps.
