Project considers task status relative to the status date, not today's date.Possibly the Status Date of your project is before 02/24/24, which is when these two tasks begin.

Ignacio_Martin Wow thank you very much! I'm a beginner and I'm still learning. What you told me made a lot of sense, in my head it updated itself according to the current day, not that it would be a manual process for me to update the date.
