Shift work in ms project
Could someone please assist in my work scheduling. I want to plan a number of shifts for a set number of work units. Day shift 5:30am to 2:30pm Monday Thursday 9 hours 4xcrew Afternoon shift 2:00pm ...
It would help to see a screen shot of how you set up your shift calendars. Here is a simple example with 2 4-man crews with custom resource calendars for "day" shift and "afternoon" shift, each with 9 hours. The Project calendar is also customized to cover the two shifts from 5:30 AM to 11:00 PM Monday through Thursday.

Task Usage view showing two crews assigned to a task. Total hours per 18 hour day (2-9 hour shifts) are 36 hours per crew.
When the timescale is changed to show hours, the transition between shifts is shown as indicated.
