Resource management using CDS and P4W

I want to make some simple resource management in a model driven PPM app using the entities in CDS. There are several options here, but I can't figure out how these should be used in the right combinations to work properly. I want to make a process where you can request a new resource, see their capacity and book them during a certain timeperiod using a calendar function. I can't find any good documentation on how to utilise these entities and no blogposts which show examples on how these should be tied together. Does anyone have any good material regarding this topic?
