Resource Loading for project pipeline

We have a portfolio of proposals and projects in different stages:

- some of these are under bidding (with various degrees of certainty that these will be awarded)

- some of these are awarded and are in 'getting ready' stage

- some of these are under execution

Is it possible to create in MS Project a man-power resource loading chart for the organization considering the project portfolio and probability of award for the proposals in the bidding stage.

Thank you!

    cristiandatum,
First of all, what version of Project are you using (e.g. stand-alone desktop, Project Online, etc.)?

Second, what exactly do you mean by "man-power resource loading chart"?

It is certainly possible to create a resource overview for multiple projects but there are a lot of variables on how best to do it. For example, is each project in a separate file? You you using a resource pool? How would you envision factoring in the probability?

Thank you John for the reply.

      I'm using stand-alone Project.

I would like to create a forecast man-power histogram similar to the attached with the following features:

      1. Unlike the histogram in the spreadsheet attached, each resource would be multiplied by probability of winning bid for every time period.

      2. Once the first step is done, I would also like to see an individual manpower cumulative loading across multiple projects. To see if this exceeds above a certain threshold (say 100).

      Thank you!

        Cristian,
In order to get that type of graphic, you will have to export timescaled Project data to Excel and then manipulate the data to produce the histogram and manpower cumulative loading. I would use VBA to do that. If you want some help with that let me know.
