Resotring a deleted file in PWA

Hi Community

I inadvertently deleted an active project from PWA site. Is there a way to recover?

Your help will be highly appreciated

    Hello Owaismalick ,

    Are you using Project Online in Microsoft 365 or Project Server on-premises?

    If you are using Project Online, there is no backup / archive feature so it will be gone. You might be able to raise a support query to Microsoft to see if they can restore the whole database but I'm not sure that is something they can / will do but also doing that would mean you lose all changes that have happened after the date of the database back up used for the restore.

     

    If you are using Project Server On-Premises then you might have a version you can restore from the backup if you have the manual / scheduled back ups running: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/project/restore-item-level-objects-through-administrative-restore-project-server-2013
