Report of nominal deliveries versus real deliveries
- Feb 19, 2024argaii,
You might find the following link useful in understanding the various Project options, particularly the response from my colleague Dale Howard.

Can you get a report like that? Yes, but not with any of Project's report formats (unless I've missed a trick). For a graph like you describe, I would export Project data to Excel and then create the graph there.

Hi John-project
I also tought to export the data of the MS Project file to an Excel, but this is not a good solution for two reasons:
- I'm creating this MS Project file for the projects of the company where I work. The reports are useful not for me but for other colleagues which will have access to this MS Project, it will be shared
- The final purpose is to use MS Project online, in order to link it also woth MS Planner and send the tasks to the people which are working on the project and consequently the updates for the reports, everything in the cloud and shared
Anyway thank you for the suggestion 🙂

If you can live without the graph, a few custom fields can provide the data in Project but it may still require a macro.
John- argaiiFeb 17, 2024Copper ContributorHi,
Do you know this macro?
It's not a theme of survival, but I don't work alone and the deliveries through time are really important for our customers 😉- John-projectFeb 17, 2024Silver Contributorargaii,
I'd have to write the macro, it's not something that already exists.
In your reasons for not wanting to export to Excel you mentioned an end goal of using Project Online and MS Planner. I assume you meant Project for the Web and Planner. Project for the Web is not the same as Project Online. Further, Project for the Web and Planner have much less capability than Project Desktop or Project Online. One reason I like to export data to Excel for sharing with others is that Excel is part of MS Office which is much more universal than MS Project (i.e. nearly everyone in business has access to Office but not to Project).
