As I stated in my previous post, Microsoft Project can only connect to Planner when used with either Project Online or Project Server. There is functionally no difference between the 2019 and 2021 versions. This is because Microsoft spent all of the their development money on Project for the Web, which is a low-end project management tool for small and simple projects. Microsoft DID announce recently that later this year, Project for the Web will be merged into the Planner app. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,
I have seen that Microsoft sells now Project 2024 Standard and Professional perpetual licenses. Is there any difference (apart from colors, themes) from this one to 2019 and 2021 versions?? (not online versions). It seems that only changes numbers, is that right?
Thank you for you attention and answer.

No, there is no functional difference between Microsoft Project 2024, compared with the 2019 and 2021 versions. Microsoft has not added any new functionality to this tool in a long time, to my regret, by the way. Hope this helps.
